Yes, it was the 7th Miss Battalion, but his name may be under John Shows, John B. Shows, John Bradford Shows or J.B. Shows. According to family lore, he returned home at the end of the war either missing a leg or suffering a badly wounded leg, either way it bothered him the rest of his life, and some say he eventually died from the wound. We do know he had been paroled at Vicksburg, then was re-activated. According to some stories, he finished the war in a Hospital in/near Richmond, Va, but I don't believe the 7th was ever in Virginia. Any info would be of help, and thanks!
