John Alvin Turner

Have posted this before a few years back but thought I would give it another try.

Still trying to solve the mystery of what happened to John Alvin Turner. Born about 1844/5 Lived in Tippah County Miss. He just drops off the map after the 1860 census. So of course I believe he was killed, captured or MIA from the war. His brother John Elder and some cousins were in the 7th Miss. Cav. and the 23rd Miss. Infantry. Another brother Wyley Redomnd and some cousins were in the army of 10,000/10th Miss Infantry, his younger brother (my g/g/grandfather) was in the 2nd Miss. Reserve Cav. I do not believe he ran away or deserted because he had a couple of nephews named after him after the war so I believe there was no ill will or dishonor. There are about a dozen John or J. NMI Turners that served in Miss. There was a J.A. Turner killed in Kentucky and a J.A. Turner killed at Harrisberg in July of 1864. Can anyone help me?
