According to his CMSR's Private F. M. Bryan died on August 11, 1862 at a Confederate hospital near Madison, Mississippi from diarrhea. He was with Company K of the 39th Alabama Regiment. He was the son of John Coleman Bryan and his full name was Francis Marion Bryan born about 1844 in Barbour County, Alabama. He may or may not have a tombstone.
