I am trying to find out more on my distant uncle, Joseph Campbell Bruce who resided in Rankin county, MS. He was born in Fredericksburg, VA in 1820 and moved to MS around 1857-1860. He died 1911 in Brandon, MS and is buried there with family. Would like to know more about his unit if you have information. This is all I could find below. Thanks.
