Ladies and Gentlemen:
My sister lives on Battle Bluff Road, near Carthage, MS.
Her hubby has, after many years of indifference, developed a budding interest in Mr. Lincoln's War for the Tax Dollars and is curious why Battle Bluff Road is so named.
I'm leaning toward a War for Southern Independence origin for the roadway's name, but could easily be wrong.
Anybody know the origin of Battle Bluff Road's name?
I'd love to use any Civil War-related origin to stoke bro-in-law's interest in his Confederate roots!
Thanks! -- Jim Huffman, Adj., Gainesville Vols, SCV Camp 373, Pearl River County, MS, "Gainesville Volulnteers, SCV Camp 373" on Facebook
