My gg grandmother was Mary Ann Bird Hughston and her brother was George W. Bird, Jr. of the 11th MS (kia Gettysburg 7/03/63). They were from Carroll Co. and Choctaw Co. If anyone in their research sees a tie to Thomas Bird, please let me know. I've tried to research the Bird family without any success. Their generation is as far back as I can go. Given the name Bird and Mississippi, I can always hope.
