The roster of men in this book show men joining the regiment at Milldale July 3 through July 27, also a number dying there during this period.
It would appear that once arriving at Milldale June 17, they established a base camp there while the regiment might move from site to site and later participate in the affair at Jackson.
Enoch Bennett, Company H, died at Milldale, August 4, 1863.
