George, thanks for sharing. Always good to read the history of soldiers from Choctaw Co. and French Camp. I had several family members (Hemphill, Hughston and Drane families) from the same area. They all served in the 31st MS. Quite a few buried in the county; need to plan a trip to search the cemeteries and records. Don't know of any kin there today.
