My great grandfather was Thomas Whittom from Marion county. You all helped me find info on him in the past. He was a drummer w/7th MS infantry, wounded at Chickamauga and Atlanta and captured either at Franklin or Nashville and spent the last few months of the war at Camp Chase. He survived, came back to Marion county, married and had four children. He is buried in Columbia City Cemetary.
