In Response To: Re: Robert B Blackwell ()

Colonel Blackwell 1865 was my grandfathers, grandmothers, brother. I just came across this story, and I don't remember coming across a Robert in my finds, but I did see your mention of Colonel. All of the family was Blackwell / Hamilton from Autauga/Chilton area. Any other info on these people is greatly appreciated.

Autauga Al. 1860 census household:
Josiah Blackwell 24 yrs old b abt. 1836
Mary Blackwell 17 yrs. old b. abt 1843
Samuel Blackwell 20 yrs old b abt. 1840
Elizabeth Bowles 20 yrs. old " " "

Samuel Blackwell married
Elizabeth Bowles Blackwell (earliest record of her is bonded to a man for $200 in NC in 1850 at age 10)

married in Autauga, AL. Oct.25, 1860
Kids:
Ella Blackwell born 1861 Cannot find after this date
Colonel Blackwell born 1865
Delilah Blackwell born May 1868 said to be full blood Cherokee, any info?
1870 Autauga Al Census shows only Elizabeth and the 3 kids. No mention of Samuel in household and I cannot find him after this and would really love to know what happened/where he went.

Delilah Blackwell and John Hamilton (born Jan 1856 records show him/his family from from Florida) (not much more on him yet)
married 1887 Chilton County Al
kids:
Lillie Hamilton born May 1889
Bettie Hamilton born Nov. 1890
Annie G Hamilton born May 1892
Colonel (misspelled Kernal) G. Hamilton born May 1895 ( I found tons of misspells, named after Delilah's brother Colonel Blackwell)
James W. Hamilton born June 1897
Hobson Dewie Hamilton born March 1900
Easter Mae Hamilton born 1901/1902
