11th MS @ 7 Days before Richmond

I'm currently reading Burke Davis' book "They Called Him Stonewall" and that book's account of the 7 Days before Richmond. I remember from a hand written copy of a Carrollton, Ms newspaper from that time, that the 11th was there and my ancestor Geo. Bird was a Lt. at the time. That news paper article mentioned the dead and wounded of Co. K. of the 11th and that the Capt of Co. K, "the Carrol Rifles" and Lt. Bird accounted for about 80 prisoners taken (50 by the Capt. in the am and 30 more by the Lt. in the afternoon). Don't recall in which of the engagements the prisoners were taken.

Lee had Longstreet, both Hills and Jackson's armies there. Under which general was the 11th assigned? Can anyone suggest a good detail record of the 11th's actions during that period from Mechanicsville thru Malvern Hill?

Will appreciate your help and direction.

Thanks, Ed
