Some records of death mention Hamiltonville VA; a hospital record for his brigade, Sept 1861, lists Leesburg VA, Sept 8, 1861. Father L D McPherson of Wayne County MS filed for payments due G R McPherson. Co "I", 13th Mississippi Regt, later became Co "G".
