North of Hwy 98 the Auburn road fallows the old roadbed. In the late 1980's I located a gravesite an aged aunt told me that she had visited in her youth. The unmarked site is a few miles south of West-Lincoln School, on the west shoulder of the road. It is on private property, but my guide had been the Justice of The Peace in the area, who requested permission from the owners at the time.
She said her grandfather died at a CSA camp and was burried there.
