After recheching my files this William M. is cousin to William M. from Ala. William M. Braden died at Chicamunga 22 Sept 1863 .Place of Burial Ukn. he shows to be enlisted inCo C and I 3rd. Bat. aswellas Hardcastle's Co. B. ( The Insurgents ) He was a Private.He showed to e afarmer living near Pontotoc,Miss,was married to Elizaeth Amanda Holliday 17 Dec 1857 in Itawamba Cnty.MS. Records are muddled ,but for sure he had one son Soloman ,a daughter Jane M. and possibly one more son. His wife remarried 19 Dec. 1865 to James R. Montgomery and they moved to Byo Meto ,Pulaski Cnty. Ark. His parents were John Braden and Marth Sarah Caldwell they had 11 children ,including William M and his younger Brother William N. Noonan Numan,Nooner,Newnanand several other nick names .He also served in the war as did all the Braden men He was a Prvt. in Ham's Co E. MS Inft. Transfered to 16 Mis Calv. Eight Sons all served ,though not a record. My dadand his eight brothers all served in Combat arms in WW II . Doug
