I'm in charge of the project, being handled by Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
We are planning for a multi year, multi episode documentary.
Right now, we are putting together a five minute "trailer" that will be used to shop the project around. In doing this we are interviewing people and collecting resources. We are also going ahead with getting what we need for the first two episodes and hoping for the best.
It goes without saying that we need photographs. I am a bit disappointed in the lack of photographs available, either from archives or on the web.
I would appreciate pointing me to any photographs you may know of, on the web, in an archive, private collections, anywhere.
Diaries, especially ones with an emotioal
The project itself will be hour long episodes, the first one will be succession and the second will be Corinth. The project is also fluid and will be adjusted by resources available and funding.

The drive to Vicksburg
Vicksburg (of course)
Choctaws in the civil war
The slave experience
Mississippi soldiers in the civil war
Aftermath of the war/reconstruction
Of course I cant cover everything, I could do 10 hours on Vicksburg alone, but getting it right and telling the story is important to me.
