My 2nd great-grandfather had a brother named David Roberts who left amite county and settled near or in Vicksburg but I know nothing more of that line of kin. However this move was made, IIRC, around 1840-1845. Maybe there is a chance I had non-military family inside the siege lines. I know I had some from Louisiana who were there, shall we say... on business.
