I find him (in Misc. CS records) as Lt. Comdg. Co. G, McGuirk's MS Cavalry in July 1863 at Post Panola, MS, ordering clothing for his men. Next, I find him as a deserter at Memphis, TN, on April 30, 1864, from the 3rd MS Cavalry. He is listed as a 2nd Lt. in that unit, but I don't find any records specific to that unit that support his ever being a member. He is listed as 38 years old, from Marshall Co., MS, and over six feet tall. I can't find him anywhere else. You can order his records from the link at the top of this page. -- Jim Huffman, Capt.
