I am a researcher on the Cartwright family from Tippah County, MS. I am compiling a book on that family and want to dedicate one chapter to the men of Southern Tippah who served in the war (including my ancestor). Being a non-scholar of the Civil War battles, I will have nothing to offer, but would like to post a few inquiries about their units. I hope that my enthusiasm will be adequate to offset my 'Hoovering' behavior. I am glad I found this site.
