My great great grandfather was listed as wounded/sick and transported as such on the 24th of July, 1863. I have been searching for what happened next in his story. It's possible he made it as far as New Orleans (destination #1) or Mobile (destination #2) or he may have "died at sea" as one of the men on the St. Maurice may have. There is no record of him past the 24th of July. He served in the 43rd Tennessee as a private. His home was Bradley County, Tennessee.
