Thanks for walking me through this. Now I wonder exactly where was he during this time. I have a pay slip where he was paid to guard prisoners in May/June, evidently talking them to Richmond. I wonder where he was in the late Feb-April timeframe. He must have been sick as he was on a hospital role but was he in Enterprise?

I know the 34th Ga were stationed in Jackson when they arrived from Tennessee in December and Stevenson called for the 34th to go to Warrenton in late January. Henry was not with the 34th at Champion Hill or the Vicksburg siege.

Do you know what other Mississippi hospitals other than Enterprise there were in early 1863? Perhaps he was in one of those and was moved when the Union moved on Jackson.
