Thanks for the response. I've looked through French's autobiography and saw he was ordered to Mississippi but the mystery to me is why Henry's service slip shows him on the muster role of French's Division Hospital at the end of February. If French doesn't arrive until May, why was the hospital in Enterprise called French's Division in February?

That's why I'd like to see what the backing documentation is to the service slip. I guess I can write the National Archives and request it.
