Good post. That was one of the saddest tragedies of the war. I'll be up there later this week and hope to stop by the Carter House and more of the sites.

I think they've been doing much more lately trying to reclaim some of the battlefield and do more to commemorate and honor the battle. I'm interested to see what has changed since the last time I was there.
