I'm looking for information regarding John or Jonathan Stephenson (middle initial probably "T") from Lowndes County, Mississippi who died sometime in 1861. I'd like to know if he was serving in the War at the time and, if so, whether he died in an engagement or otherwise. Any information would be appreciated.
