Just recently, there is a gentleman who lives in Oxford, Mississippi (Lafayette County), whom I have been corresponding with regarding a William Johnson. He seems to think that my great grandfather's younger brother, William M. Johnson, is the same as one of his ancestors, also a William Johnson. His William Johnson married a Margaret ??? in about 1861. We have been trying to make a connection, but somehow, have not been able to do so. He would have to prove his connection back to my great, great grandfather, Randolph Johnson, from his William, but so far, that hasn't happened. Did you see any William Johnson who had married a Margaret, by any chance? He says his William Johnson was born in 1841, in Alabama, just like my great, great uncle, William M. I'm just curious to see if you remember seeing any such person. I really have my doubts, to tell you the truth.
