Re: Escaped after capture at Gettysburg

Thank you for your help! It is interesting to note further that the Company F -- Tallahatchie Rifles (raised in Tallahatchie County, MS) 1st Lt. T. W. Boisclair or Boiclair. The spelling in the transcription is different from the Census record for 39yo Thomas W. Boisclair in 1870 who was born in Ga. I wonder if Henry S. Boiscliar and Thomas W. Boiscliar were related? The 1870 Census lists a 5yo son of Thomas W. Boisclair as Henry S. Boiscliar, too. Henry S. Boiscliar's wife, Lena Brown, must have passed on before 1900. There were two others listed on the POW list with Henry S. Bayclair from the 21st MISS INF.

H. F. Briley Co. A and W.L. Bill Co. E both of the 21st MISS INF. It appears that W. L. Bill was released after taking the "oath". Much of the information given pertaining to W. L. Bill's "oath" is illegible.
