Can someone help me with more information on a Joseph Chapman who enlisted as a Pvt. in Co. D, 46th Mississippi Inf. from Rankin MS.
I believe they were referred to as the "Rankin County Farmers." I looked at his (7) cards on Footnote.com but can't find him before he enlisted. He isn't with his unit after February 1863.
