Re: 35th Mississippi at the Chattahoochee River

In "The Campaign for Atlanta" William R. Scaife's map places French's Division including Sears' Mississippi Brigade at the northern end of the Chattahoochee River Line between Walthall's and Bate's brigades. French being in the center on the west side of the Atlanta & Western RR with Walthall to the right of the R.R. and Bate to French's left. The location was 1 1/2 miles NNW of Montgomery's Ferry, 2 1/4 miles NNE of Proctor's Creek, and 2 miles to the NW of Peachtree Creek where it enters the Chattahoochee. On todays' map that would be just east of I-285 about 3 miles S. of U.S. 41 going west from I-75 on the NW side of Atlanta. Hope that helps.
