Thanks, but I have the census for Amite Co in 1850, 1860 and 1870, and a few for some of the surrounding counties.
Adam is listed on the monument in Liberty as dying during the war, the old hand written records just say "died during war" His wife remarried Daniel Kelley (of Co K, 44th Miss) in Feb of 1866.
I think I have located one of his decendants, so I am questioning him.
