His record consists of only one card which is noted below. CW service records consist, in the main, of the data contained on the bimonthly company muster rolls. These contain only the barest of information. Rarely including age.

When one does find parent ID, it is on lawyer affidavits regarding claims for the pay & allowances of deceased soldiers.

Your best bet is to check the 1860 or earlier Federal census.
