I am trying to locate where a soldier, R.G. or R.J. Wigginton (various spellings) who was a private in Co. D of the 3rd MS Volunteer Infantry may have died. He enrolled in Newton Co. MS on 8/28/61, mustered in at Camp Clark Bay on 9/5/61. He died 2/5/62 but I have no location. Where was this regiment during that timeframe and where might he be buried? Any leads are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
