Card dated Aug. '64 - Feb. '65 --he was listed as AWOl since Oct of '64.

There was a Captain Johnson of his old Co. B, 3rd Miss. prehaps that is who took him back? At any rate this info is not reflected in his CSR.

If you have the pension papers the info about his death may be noted in there. It would not be in his CSRs. If you can find a copy of "To Live and Die" you may check to see if Mr. Howell found that infomation and noted it in his book.
