In the CWS&S there is a listing for a J. M. Ellis of the 2nd Miss. Cav. I have not been able to locate any record of this man at this time. I am working on the possibility that this J. M. Ellis possibly left the 2nd Miss. Cav. and went to another unit although I haven't been able to make a connection to a 7th at this time.
