The wartime graves there are marked with iron tablets like the NPS battlefields use. The remains were moved from a nearby location on the Tennessee River which was eroding away. This was sometime after the war. Not anytime recent. You can get that history from the link. Anyway, there is a picture of the tablet with A. J. Avara's name on it. There are several 41st men buried there.
