“CIVIL WAR TRIVIA" SURVEY (Western Theatre)
Please participate!!!

The following Civil War “trivia items” were posted on MSCWMB within the last 15 days:

(A) Resignation of Brig. Gen. S.A.M. Wood, C.S.A. - a very poorly documented event that occurred soon after the Battle of Chickamauga between Gen. Patrick Cleburne and Gen. Wood. (Locate copy of letter and better document this "event" between two such highly recognized Confederate generals of the Western Theatre.)

(B) “Camp Life” documenting “first person” account of using a “Rubber Blanket” in the field after a Confederate soldier provided a “first person” account of picking up a “Rubber Rug” on the battlefield after Murfreesboro. (Possibly of more interest to re-enactors - first time I’ve seen "rug" used to describe a gum or rubber blanket and a “first person” account of picking one up on a battlefield along with other accoutrements of dead soldiers.)

(C) Compiled list of “Killed & Wounded” Confederate soldiers from specified regiment(s) after a major Western Theatre battle. (Battle of Perryville was example.)

(D) “3rd Confederate Battalion of Irish” – misidentified rare Hardee flag of “3rd Confederate Infantry Regiment” recently returned to Arkansas by Alabama Department of Archives & History [ADAH] (Not seen "Battalion of Irish" term used referencing this Arkansas regiment, nor it described as being “Irish.”)

(E) Field inventory of Confederate “Ordinance Wagon” – possibly of more interest to re-enactors. (Most detailed description I’ve seen, even placement of individual items inside wagon.)

SURVEY: Please select one of the following categories after reading the above:

(1) No interest in any of the above.
(2) Interested in all of the above
(3) Interested only in folloeing: (List each specific letter IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE, i.e. D,A E or B,E, C, etc.)

You may either post a response here or send an email directly to me at RESwinson@aol.com. The results will be posted on the MSCWMB.

Your participation will be appreciated.
