Mr. pitts; Thank you for you responce, Im still doing some research on the Vandiver's several years ago you provided me a list of vandiver's that fought for the South, now I know 2 of them that are my gggrandfathers brothers. and both were with the 23rd Miss.Infranty Reg.Co. E. A.C.Vandiver 1st.Lt. full name Andrew Crockett Vandiver and Elisha H. Vandiver who die 25 July 1863 , Just wanting more info. and attempin to try to fine there Penison App. as Elisha was married and maybe his widow file for one.Her name would be Emily Roberts. A.C. Vandiver lived out the war and die 1915,But what I found that he deserted to the emeny Dec.1863. Does that mean he may have left and went home, would there be a record on this,Could he have drawn Penion ?????????/
thank you
