R.T.Hall, Co. E, 18th Ms.Calvary

I received the Military Papers for Pvt. R. T. Hall who joined the 18th Batt'n Mississippi. Co, E.Calvary. It shows his residence to be Oxford, Lafayette Co., Ms. and his name is on the Roll of Prisoners as a Sgt. for Co. E. 18th Regiment, Ms. Calvary, commanded by Captain J.L. Knox, surrendered at Cittronell, Alabama, by Lieut. Gen. R. Taylor, C.S.A. to Major General E.R.S. Canby, U.S.A. May 4, 1865 and parroled at Gainsville, Ala. May 12, 1865. Dated. Gainsville, Al.May 12, 1865.

Do you know the Regimental History of this Regoiment? After Brice's Crossroads, where did they go?

The papers show that Captain Middleton was his commanding officer, then later Captain Arant.

Also, where would I write to get the Pension papers for him. He lived until 1903. Is there a book with the names of the soldiers who applied for a Pension?

Thanks very much.
