I got the informantion.Thanks very munch it filled in some gaps.For everyone the 2nd New York Veteran Cavalry was armed with 1863 Sharps caribine and Remmington 44 Army revolers.I need to the get some more infr from Celeste on the slaugher of livestock around the Ford home.I know in Marion county Miss they took livestoch and food chickens etc. this expedition was named the Davidson's sweetpotatoe raid by the 2nd Illioios Regiment Cavalry.
