While interened as a prisoner of war in Japan my father witnessed the downing of a B-29 directly above his camp. Seven crew members died in the crash there on the hills of Kobe, Japan. One of the fatalities recorded in my uncles diary included, "....the name of another of the dead crew members was R. E. Copeland [of] plane No. 629 attached to the 29th squadron, 373 bombing wing." Would be interested to know if this name rings a bell to anyone. I am, William Bacon
