Thanks for for interest in this as well. I'm still trying to gather information about this site. As I mentioned earlier, I went on a trail ride on horseback some years ago where the elderly gentleman that led the ride brought us to the actual site over looking the Mississippi River. I remember it well. The monument was made of what appeared to be concrete and looked very similar to that of the Washington Monument, straight and pointed at the top. I can also remember that we started the ride on the trail just on the other side of Angola close to where that old grocery store named Stutsman's, if I'm spelling it right. We used to hunt in a deer club right there on the Buffalo River, Pecan Grove Hunting club. Anyway, like I said it was sometime time ago but I thought it was very interesting to actually stand on such an historic site. If I get any more updates I let you know.
