Larry,

There are a few sources you may want to check that could have the information you need:

Settle Family Letters - J. D. Williams Library, Ole Miss. This collection contains the letters of Samuel L. Settle & Thomas B. Settle, who served in Company D. The letters cover the period from 1860 - 1864.

The letters of Chaplain Hugh H. Robinson were published in the Journal of Mississippi History (January 1939) pages 53 - 59.

The letters of James H. Buford, a lieutenant in Company D, are in the Juanita Brown collection, J. D. Williams Library, Ole Miss.

The letters of Neal F. Hendry, a sergeant in Company F, are in the Wright Papers at Perkins Library, Duke University. Note: In the collection database, Hendry's name is misspelled as "Heendy."

I hope this helps,
Jeff
