Thanks for the data on the 55th. All my stuff is in storage while we renovate an old house and live in a town house. A few weeks is now 6 months.
The 55th or whatever sent c.4 companies to NM in 1865, at least 2 were at Ft Stanton. Others at Fts Union and Craig. They were replaced by the 125th USCT that remained until late 1866. I'll be able to give you the Companies involved later. We have the morning reports and all the letters to and from HQ in Santa Fe, etc. But not where I can get them. I don't know why I can't put my hands on a troop list. I'll be able to figure it out and will be back when I do. Thanks. Earl Pittman
