Jacob T. Woodward, enlisted April 21, 1864 as a Private in Co. D, 26th MS. Died from wounds inflicted at Cold Harbor , June 2 , 1864. Jacob was the eldest son of Jesse C Woodward, 2nd LT. 17th MS, Co E. Jacob died from complications resulting from leg amputation at General Hospital no. 9 Richmond Va, July 15, 1864. Does anyone know where the dead were buried in Richmond? One of his possessions was a pocket book with personal info. It was given to a Capt Moffet on July 28th , 1864. Any information on Captain Moffet would be appreciated as i have been unable to l locate any info on the Captain. Thanks, JD
