Birth: 1834 in Moorefield, Hardy Co., Virginia
Death: 30 NOV 1864 in Franklin, Williamson Co., Tennessee from wounds recieved at Battle of Franklin
Note 1: The name on this grave was originally submitted as "B., N.H."
Note 2: From Ron Skellie - According to Tim Burgess who has researched the Battle of Franklin and the McGavock Cemetery more than anyone I know, the person is Col. William H. Bishop, commander of the 7th Miss. who was killed in the action at Franklin. Mr. Burgess has for the last twenty years has been researching and collecting information about the soldiers who are buried at the McGavock Confederate Cemetery, preparing to write a book about them.
