I can't remember which letter, but Richard B. Pittman wrote home something to the effect of -- "They may get me, but I will get as many of them as I can." I am sure he did too!! Posted to the SHAPE website an article about VP Cheney making a speech at the Chickamauga Battlefield, he lost his grandfather there also.
