To clarify, I am somewhat familiar with Rorer's service record, and the 20th Miss regimental history, and have read a number of his wonderful letters. I'm interested in understanding who he was out of uniform. I know he owned and operated a sawmill in Aberdeen, and was killed at Franklin. Anyone know how he learned to write so beautifully? Who his family were? What he looked like?
