I am trying to find out which Regiments were involved in the Battle of Corinth. My gg Grandfather was honorably discharged on Oct 2, 1862 from Corinth, MS, the day before the battle began. He was with Company "A" First Regiment of the U S Infantry from Pennsylvania. He signed up Oct 2 1857 and had five years to the day Oct 2, 1862. Any ideas on additional information will be appreciated.
