Here is what I have on the Middleton's of the 7th Mississippi:

Middleton’s in 7th Regt. Miss. Inf.:

Middleton’s in Co. E 7th Regt. Miss. Inf.
Middleton, Edward L Pvt. Co. E WIA at Murfreesboro; to hospital 18 Oct 1864, Augusta, GA (By this date the wound could have been a result of injuries at Jonesboro.)

Middleton, Levi G. Pvt. Co. E WIA at Shiloh and died of wounds

Middleton, Levy E. Pvt. Co. E MWIA at Murfreesboro, died in the hands of the enemy.

Middleton, Napoleon F. Pvt. Co. E overstayed leave in 1864

Middleton’s in Co. B 7th Regt. Miss. Inf.
Middleton, H.T. Co. B, probably joined another Company (Means he signed up for the regiment, but probably joined another unit before final muster.)

Possible connection to the Moak’s in Co. B:

Moak, Joseph S. (Simpson); died 12 Oct. 1863 in Atlanta, GA of wounds received at Chickamauga on the 20th of Sept 1863. source: MOAK FAMILY 1840 - 1960, by L.L. Moak. lacantanta@cox.net

Moak, Thomas A (Asa) wounded Shiloh, in hosp. WIA Murfreesboro, WIA, lost leg at Atlanta 7-22-64 ( b, 9 Dec 1839, died 18 Dec 1882, Bogue Chitto, Lincoln, Co., MS. Son of Middleton M. Moak, Sr. source: MOAK FAMILY 1840 - 1960, by L.L. Moak.) lacantanta@cox.net

Moak, William A. died of disease 11-2-62 ("A" may have been Andrew], b. 1841, son of Middleton M. Moak, Sr. "Died of his wounds after returning to Bogue Chitto, Pike,co.,MS" source: MOAK FAMILY 1840 - 1960, by L.L. Moak. lacantanta@cox.net

Thank you Randy. I'll add it to the roster with your permission. Do you know the relationship of Wyatt to the other Thornhill's? My principal at Long Beach High School on the coast was a Thornhill. Any relation? Have you determined where he is actually buried? Please keep in touch.
