Tom,

I greatly appreciate your input. My Gr-gr-gr-grandfather, Christopher Columbus Melton, was in Company B, 37th. Miss. Inf. Reg. He was wounded and taken prisoner at the Battle of Corinth -- paroled 10 days later, and served for the duration. I know this is alot to ask, but I would be much interested in your findings. I hope to one day be able to walk the battleground of Corinth as you have, but, being in Texas, I just can't do it right now. Anything you wish to share would be much appreciated. I am looking forward to another book on these battles (if the rumors are true) -- I would buy it in a heartbeat.
