It is possible that she did not apply for a pension at all but I have from two unconnected sources in the family that she filed on both husbands, one of the sources being a granddaughter who she lived with for a while. I don't believe the people would tell me a story. But oh well, as I said before, I don't know where to go from here. Time to regroup.
