Why? What happened at Pritchard's Crossroads?

Actually not a whole lot, but Wirt Adams & John Adams
used it several times for a rear guard defensive
line, had earthworks & rifle positions set up there.
It's also said for a roadblock to stop the Yankee's
advance to Way's bluff..

I always thought Prichard's Crossroads was much closer
to Mechanicsburg than Bentonia..

I had a Great Great Grandfather there, around Satartia, Mechanicsburg
in the fight..
